PaRC Detox Program Is Unique

PaRC provides medical care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is one of the few Houston detox and alcohol detox centers to provide a drug and alcohol detox program for both adolescents and adults. PaRC offers same day admission and accepts most forms of health insurance.

Our specialized care serves:

Withdrawal from habitual drug and/or alcohol abuse in an unsupervised medical setting can be dangerous. Our unique team of highly qualified and compassionate medical professionals bring years of experience and extensive training in a variety of medical backgrounds to help patients overcome one of the most difficult challenges they may ever face. PaRC’s affiliated physicians, nurses and licensed counselors collaborate throughout the detox process to ensure that patients receive the best care possible on their road to recovery.

What You Can Expect from Detox

As a patient in PaRC’s detox Houston center you will experience personalized attention that is confidential and compassionate. You will meet regularly with a physician to evaluate your progress. Medications during detox may be prescribed to reduce withdrawal and physical discomfort, and because PaRC’s detox program treats each person through an individual approach instead of a standard approach, the risk of overmedication is reduced.

A nurse will monitor and assess your condition every 2-4 hours during drug detox (depending upon your needs), and your counselor will be with you for reassurance and support, guiding you through the emotional and psychological symptoms of drug alcohol withdrawal symptoms. Throughout the entire process, special attention will be placed on making certain that you feel comfortable and safe.

“When I arrived I was shaking badly, my blood pressure was through the roof, and I was pretty scared. The staff was kind but they didn’t sugar coat anything. I appreciated their honesty in regard to what I could expect in their care. That was 4 1/2 years ago and I’ve been sober ever since. I even regularly volunteer at PaRC with the aftercare program and relapse prevention groups. PaRC absolutely changed my life.” – Eleanor, PaRC Alumnus

Staying Healthy After Detox

Detox is the first important phase of treatment for drug alcohol rehab when indicated. PaRC’s detox program provided critical levels of care after detox to effectively help address addiction and misuse. Licensed counselors offer individual, family, and group therapy and education. They work closely with patients to create a relapse prevention plan and to help identify dependency triggers.

Levels of care are determined upon assessment. Not all levels of care are available for direct admit.
