Dr. Ryan Levey, MD

After completing his bachelor’s degree at The University of Texas at Austin, Ryan S. Levey, MD, completed his medical degree at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston. He then went on to complete his general surgery internship and urology residency at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Levey was inspired to become a physician after his grandfather returned home from World War II, determined to become a surgeon. Since childhood, Dr. Levey wanted to follow his grandfather’s footsteps.

Board certified in urology, Dr. Levey is a surgeon who can treat disorders of the genitourinary tract in both males and females. He treats the most common urologic issues, including BPH, kidney stones, prostate, bladder, testicular and kidney cancers or masses, urinary troubles, elevated PSA, blood in the urine and he can perform vasectomies for male patients. His clinical interest include surgeries for BPH, like TURP and Urolift, medical and surgical management of kidney stones, prosthetics, including penile implants and robotic surgery for benign and malignant kidney, bladder, prostate and ureter issues.

Dr. Levey understands the sensitive nature of his patients’ conditions, which is why he focuses on making his patients are comfortable. He strives to build a foundation of trust with his patients, by listening and understanding their concerns and health issues. He truly wants to make a difference in each patient’s quality of life.

Away from the clinic, Dr. Levey enjoys exercising, participating in outdoor activities and following Dallas and UT Austin sports teams. Most importantly, he enjoys spending time with his family.
