HOUSTON (January 14, 2014)

Former New York City fashion photographer Rick Guidotti will be in Houston January 18 and 19 as part of the 2014 ReelAbilities Film Festival.

His photos will be featured in Positive Exposure at the Nicole Longneck Gallery. Guidotti has gained worldwide recognition for his photographs of individuals with genetic differences from albinism to autism. These photos challenge our definition of beauty to transform public perceptions of people living with genetic, physical and behavioral differences.

Sunday, he will be taking pictures of children with disabilities at a Houstonian residence. The pictures taken that day will be revealed to the families when he returns to Houston February 12, the week of 2014 ReelAbilities.

Positive Exposure is part of ReelAbilities, a city-wide film and arts festival dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories and artistic expressions of individuals with various disabilities.

The Nicole Longneck Gallery is located at 2625 Colquitt and the exhibit, which is free, will run through February 15.
