HOUSTON (October 08, 2013)

Fourth grade picture day took a drastic turn for Lauren Lackey and her family. After being rushed to Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, Lauren was diagnosed with two complex conditions that restricted blood flow to her brain. Neurosurgeon Dr. Roc Chen, MD, recognized the conditions and acted quickly, using “superglue” to reroute Lauren’s blood flow and help get her health and childhood back on track.
