SUGAR LAND, TEXAS (August 24, 2015)

Sugar Land area athletes who may be a little sore after a Friday night football game or a Saturday morning soccer game won’t have to wait until Monday to see a doctor. The Sports Medicine Outreach Program at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital will begin Saturday morning sports injury clinics starting August 29.

“For many of our young athletes it’s difficult to get to the doctor during the week when they’re in school,” says Rehal Bhojani, MD, FAAFP, CAQSM, Medical Director of the Sports Medicine Outreach Program at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land. “Our Saturday morning clinic will allow athletes to receive timely, high quality care so when it’s time to go back to school on Monday their treatment plan is already in place.”

The Saturday morning clinics will run from August 29 through November 21 during the hours of 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Patients can simply walk-in to the clinic or schedule an appointment.

Full diagnostic and treatment services will be available including x-rays, splints, supports, casting and crutches. The clinic will be staffed by physicians who specialize in orthopedic medicine, podiatry and sports medicine.

The clinic will be held on the third floor of the Medical Plaza 1 in Suite 310, just west of the hospital on the Memorial Hermann Sugar Land campus.
