Certified Physician Assistant Jacquie Mouton has joined Memorial Hermann Medical Group Headache Clinic of Greater Heights, which offers comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of headache and migraine disorders. The center is a physician-led subsidiary of Memorial Hermann Health System.

Mouton will work directly with Pamela Blake, MD, director of Memorial Hermann Medical Group Headache Clinic of Greater Heights, and a board-certified neurologist who offers innovative surgical treatment to address chronic headaches caused by neuralgia, which occurs when a nerve is compressed or restricted by surrounding structures. Partnering with a plastic surgeon, the outpatient procedure has provided relief for many patients suffering from chronic headaches. The center also offers pharmacological treatments, chemo denervation using Botox and myoblock, trigger point injections, occipital nerve blocks and trigeminal branch blocks.

"I am very excited to welcome Jacquie to the Headache Center," said Dr. Blake, a renowned headache specialist who has been featured on ABC-TV's Good Morning America. "At the Headache Center, our mission is to offer patients cutting-edge treatment for chronic headaches and migraines, and we work closely with patients to ensure that their headache pain is eliminated or dramatically reduced."

Mouton received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, and a bachelor's degree in physician assistant studies from Union College in Lincoln, Neb. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Practicing within the Memorial Hermann Medical Group allows physicians to focus on patients' personal healthcare needs while enjoying access to the resources and innovations of a respected healthcare system.

"As part of the Medical Group, our doctors can spend more time practicing medicine and less time worrying about running a business," said Ernest Bartimmo, MD, medical director of Memorial Hermann Medical Group. "By emphasizing the strengths of the partners, the patient is the ultimate winner."

Medical Group physicians can concentrate on growing their medical practice while Memorial Hermann provides business office and technology support services, including deploying an integrated electronic medical record, billing and collecting, insurance reimbursement contracting and information technology.
