A graduate of Dartmouth College, Dr. James Grotta earned his medical degree at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He completed his residency at the University of Colorado in Denver and later trained at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. He is board certified in neurology and vascular neurology. A recognized researcher in the development of new therapies for acute stroke patients, Dr. Grotta uses Google Glass technology to reduce diagnosis and intervention time for stroke victims.

The office is right across from Memorial Hermann-TMC and near Rice University, Hermann Park and the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Ample parking facilities offer valet or self-park options and patient drop-off at the main entrance.

Parking Options: 

  • Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza Garage – The Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza Garage, located directly across Fannin Street from the hospital, has Skybridge access to the hospital. Self-parking is accessible from the southern entrances of the garage off both Main Street and Fannin Street.
  • University of Texas Professional Building Garage – Parking is also available in the University of Texas Professional Building Garage adjacent to the Medical Plaza, located between Fannin and Main Streets.
  • TMC Garage 4 – TMC Garage 4 is accessible from both Fannin and Cambridge streets and provides visitors with access to the hospital.
