Our physicians, who have years of experience in family medicine, focus on building long-lasting relationships with their patients. They are specially trained in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease and skilled in managing diabetes, hypertension, infectious diseases, kidney disorders and other chronic conditions.
Pediatrician Dr. Greg Dimmick earned his medical degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and completed his internship and residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School. Board certified in pediatrics, he treats newborns through age 18.
Pediatrician Dr. Susan Winchell earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed her internship and residency in pediatrics through the Baylor-affiliated program at Texas Children's Hospital. Board certified in pediatrics, she sees patients from newborns to 19 years old. Her key clinical interests are asthma and allergies.
Internist Dr. John Wissinger, who comes from a family of physicians, earned his medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston and completed his residency at Tulane University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Dr. Wissenger sees patients above the age of 18. His primary clinical interests are hypertension and diabetes.
Cardiologist Dr. Carlos Zorilla earned his medical degree from Universidad Peruano Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. He completed a residency and fellowship in cardiology at the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine and St. Vincent's Medical Center. Board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, Dr. Zorilla specializes in cardiology and interventional cardiology. His primary clinical interests are cardiac angioplasty, cardiac ultrasound, heart catheterization and stress testing.
Certified physician assistant Jo Cain began her medical career as a medic with the U.S Army. She sees patients age two and older. She treats a number of conditions such as flu, cold and cough and also supervises women's examinations and Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals. She advocates preventive medicine and bases her practice on honesty and compassion.
Acute care nurse practitioner Anne Mazel earned her master's degree from University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). Specially trained in critical care and cardiology, she sees patients above the age of 12 years. She treats and manages a number of clinical conditions including hypertension, congestive heart failure, high cholesterol and arrhythmias. She focuses on patient education with the goal of reducing future health problems.
Certified pediatric nurse Megan Riha earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston and her master's from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). An experienced neo-natal intensive care nurse, she provides annual checkups, immunizations, sports physicals and other disease management for patients up to 18 years old.
