Dr. Jane C. Reed completed her undergraduate degree in biology with honors from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. While persuing her PhD in Neurophysiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, she realized her true passion lay in caring for patients and changed course to obtain a medical degree at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston, where she also completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology.

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Reed specializes in gynecology and urogynecology and is the only female urogynecologist in Montgomery County. Her clinical interests include urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic prolapse and caring for patients with significant gynecological problems. In practice since 1985, she treats women from adolescence through menopause and beyond.

Dr. Reed believes in providing the same quality of care that she would expect for a family member and educating her patients so that together they can make the best treatment choice.

A resident of Montgomery, Dr. Reed is married and has two grown sons and two grandchildren. She and her husband enjoy riding their Harleys, spending time in their hill country vacation home, scuba diving, gardening and reading.

I was one of Dr Reeds first patients 33 years ago. She has always been a great doctor. Actually, my all time favorite.

I recently had a procedure with her and she was so knowledgeable and truly spent more time than I even expected making sure that I was comfortable and understood everything. Extremely down to earth and great bedside manner.

I am a Nurse Practitioner now but I worked with Dr. Reed for years as an RN at the hospital. I started seeing her as my gynecologist about 6 years ago. I chose her as my gyn because I’ve had the unique privilege of working along-side her and seeing her “in action” in both joyous occasions and life or death situations. She thinks quick on her feet and makes split-second laser-focused life/death decisions when needed! She is an EXCELLENT clinician and trust me, you want her on your side if things go bad! I have tremendous respect for her. And the comments about her staff are unwarranted. They have always been nothing but pleasant to me. (PS—if you’re ever looking for a doctor, ask your nurse who he/she’s sees and you’ll be led in the right direction!)

I had an appointment there yesterday for a well women's exam check up and to discuss some other issues. I told the doctor the things I had been using (which she agreed was ok) but she never looked at it so I pretty much self diagnosed myself. On the other hand the doctor was nice and friendly, gave me lots of advice on what vitamins to take but i did not feel like the issue I went there for was addressed. this place is not as bad as the reviews made it out to be but they should be more attentive to their patients.
