Dr. Armstrong received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Rice University and her medical degree from The University of Texas at Houston Medical School. She completed her residency at the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program, where she also served as chief resident. Dr. Armstrong is board certified in family medicine.
Dr. Armstrong enjoys the variety of family medicine. She treats chronic and acute conditions in patients of all ages. She loves children and has a particular clinical interest in women’s health, prevention and proactive wellness care.
Dr. Armstrong sees her role with her patients as an adviser and active listener. Believing that what’s right for one patient might not be right for another, she develops a customized treatment plan for each patient. She takes the time not just to hear the clinical details of a patient’s illness, but how that illness may be affecting their lifestyle and emotional wellbeing. While treating her patients’ conditions medically, she works to improve her patients’ lives and make their health less burdensome.
When not at work, Dr. Armstrong loves spending time with her husband and young son, making jewelry, painting, dancing and swimming.
Dr. Armstrong practices at Memorial Hermann Physicians at Sugar Creek.
