Patricia Chacon, MSN, FNP-C

Advanced practice provider Patricia Chacon has worked in pediatrics and family medicine as a board-certified family nurse practitioner since 2018. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts, and her Master of Science in Nursing from South University in Austin, Texas.

Her nursing experience includes pediatrics, gerontology, medical-surgical, respiratory orthopedic, psychiatric and oncology in hospital and private practice settings, and she has special training in women’s health, family health, gerontology and health assessment. She provides a variety of healthcare services, including conducting comprehensive health assessments, screening, diagnostic treatment and rehabilitative services, as well as prescribing treatments, making referrals and managing acute and chronic illness. She speaks Spanish.

Patricia decided to become a healthcare provider to improve the overall health of patients and their families. She enjoys family medicine because she can provide preventive care for chronic and acute medical conditions such as asthma, allergy, diabetes, hypertension, eczema, hypothyroidism and ear infections.

Her patient-centered, supportive and encouraging approach to practice focuses on empowering patients and their families to become active in their health. By acknowledging their needs and showing gratitude, she builds rapport with them. She wants her patients to see her as empathetic and collaborative, as well as an active listener they can trust and be open with about their health.

For her, the best part of practicing medicine is building a rapport with patients and their families. She also enjoys working in a team environment within a rewarding field that improves peoples' lives.

A resident of Cypress, Patricia is the mother of a toddler. She loves to spend time with her family and pets, as well as swimming, crossfit, bowling and traveling.
