Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Leo M. Medina, MSN, APRN, AGACNP, is a board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner serving patients ages 16 and up for urologic conditions. He obtained both his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and his Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Previously Medina practiced as an internal medicine and cardiology physician in the Philippines; he obtained his medical degree from Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines.
After moving to the United States, Medina decided to become a nurse practitioner focused on urology because of his personal struggle with male infertility. He finds being a nurse practitioner highly satisfying, especially when his patients are able to start a family.
Fluent in English and Tagalog, Medina treats patients for all types of urologic conditions including kidney stones, urologic cancers, urinary tract infections, incontinence, low testosterone and male infertility. He wants optimal health for all his patients. Patients receive his full concern and respect, and in collaboration with each patient, Medina designs a holistic treatment plan for individual success.
In addition to spending time with his wife and four children, he enjoys running marathons and cooking.
