Kamran Shabtai, M.D.
Kamran Shabtai, M.D., M.P.H., is a diplomat of the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) serving patients 6 months of age and older. A graduate of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Camden, New Jersey, Dr. Shabtai completed his internship training at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, and his residency training at UT- Houston School of Public Health, specializing in Occupational Medicine. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University is Piscataway, New Jersey, and completed a Master of Engineering program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He was a Member of Technical Staff at AT&T- Bell Laboratories before he decided to pursue a career in medicine.
Fluent in Farsi, Dr. Shabtai treats a variety of urgent health related issues including acute conditions, lacerations, sprains, and burns among others. His clinical interests include work-related injuries and illnesses, such as acute musculoskeletal disorders, exposure to toxic chemicals, fume inhalations, first and second degree thermal and chemical burns, foreign body to the eyes, and soft tissue traumas.
He makes sure his patients understand each part of their care. He takes the time to listen to all of his patients’ concerns. For him, the best part of practicing medicine is seeing satisfaction on the faces of his patients once they are feeling better.
In his spare time, Dr. Shabtai enjoys maintaining his freshwater and saltwater aquariums. He is also an avid swimmer and enjoys jogging and weightlifting.
