Eugenio Bacani, M.D.
Eugenio Bacani, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas and completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Bacani has exclusively practiced Urgent Care medicine since 1989. At Memorial Hermann Urgent Care located in Telfair, he provides high quality, convenient and time-efficient medical care for all non-life threatening injuries and illnesses at Memorial Hermann Urgent Care located in Telfair. His clinical interests include treating lacerations, minor orthopedic injuries and respiratory and urinary tract infections.
Dr. Bacani offers walk-in services for patients of all ages, including:
- Primary care (cough, earaches, fever, flu, sore throat, pinkeye, and vomiting)
- Treatment for wounds, sprains, fractures
- Onsite laboratory and X-ray
- School and sports physicals
- Occupational medicine
Dr. Bacani sees himself as an experienced and knowledgeable healthcare provider. He finds many aspects of his practice rewarding, but particularly diagnosing the source of an uncommon or unexpected medical condition, and providing the appropriate treatment or referral.
At Memorial Hermann Urgent Care, Dr. Bacani’s services complement the treatment provided by primary care providers in the Sugar Land community. This includes helping patients who need care, but do not require an emergency room visit, and cannot access their primary care provider.
Dr. Bacani’s follow-up care includes referring the patient to a primary care provider and/or specialist, if needed.
Dr. Bacani’s interests include physical fitness, traveling and playing the guitar.

With hospitals working overtime in flu season, patients seek creative ways to see doctors
According to the Texas Department of Health, 1,155 people, including four pediatric patients, have died from flu complications in the state since last October through the first week of January. The flu season runs from October to October, and last year, TDH listed 9,553 flu-related deaths. At Memorial Hermann Urgent Care Center in Telfair, extra shipments of disinfectant have been required, to clean exam rooms after flu patients have been examined. Dr. Eugenia Bacani, with Memorial Hermann Medical Group, has been a physician for 30 years. "This is the busiest flu season I've ever seen. It's quite a jump from previous years," Bacani said.
