For the first time ever, the orthopedics program at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center has been nationally ranked in the top 50 orthopedics programs in the country. While the program has been recognized as ‘High Performing’ in the past, Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center’s orthopedics specialty has jumped more than 100 spots in just three years to be recognized as the No. 45 program nationally.

In 2022, Memorial Hermann Health System and the Houston Rockets announced a unique, first-of-its-kind collaboration and branding partnership. Memorial Hermann’s entire Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Service Line was rebranded as Memorial Hermann | Rockets Orthopedics. With the trust and support of the Houston Rockets, Memorial Hermann is proud to be the first health system in the country to be able to co-brand its orthopedic programs with a national sports team partner.

U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals across 15 specialties and 21 procedures and conditions for the 2023-24 rankings. Only 12% of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals ranking.
